Backlinks, accounts and paid plans in one day.

Inbound Watch finds the real websites that link to yours, re-reads every linking page each day and emails you when a link appears or goes missing. The first commit was on 14 October at 15:02. By the same evening it had a landing page, accounts, Free and Pro on Stripe, a badge for your own site and tests through the whole flow.

of the links to our own sites came from link farms

a month for Pro; one website is free

Background

Small websites get thousands of links from automated spam pages, and the usual tools count them all. On our own sites, 16 of 2,768 linking domains were real. Inbound Watch was to show just those 16, say when a new one appears and explain why one went away — without needing to know SEO.

What was built

  • Real backlinks from DataForSEO's index, with the link farms filtered out
  • Its own crawler that reads every linking page once a day, honours robots.txt and confirms a loss only on the second miss
  • An email the day a link appears or goes missing, and a summary every Monday
  • Your competitors' links you don't have, and estimated traffic in every country
  • A live badge for your own website, with Domain Rating or real backlinks
  • Sign-in with an email code and link, Free and Pro on Stripe with a 14-day trial
  • Checks in batches every thirty minutes, with a daily cost cap for free accounts

Timeline

  1. First commit: backlinks from DataForSEO, link farms filtered out, email on new links

  2. Its own crawler reading every linking page, reasons for lost links and the Monday email

  3. Landing page, pricing and a badge for your own website

  4. Accounts, Free and Pro on Stripe, tests and error reporting

Same hands, your product.

This is the same pace and the same care you get on subscription: one thing at a time, out when it's done, and you watch it happen while it's built.
