From lab request to result.

The customer portal is where Provsvaret's customers do their daily work: send samples to the lab, register rapid tests, book a collection at a clinic and fetch the results — with the right access for every role.

roles, from administrator to orderer

languages across the whole interface

For the customers' administrators, referrers and sample collectors, with seven different roles.

What it does

  • Create lab requests with barcode and donor details, and download the result as a PDF
  • Register rapid tests, several at once, and get the result as a generated PDF
  • Book a sample collection at a clinic and see the booking's documents
  • Share a result outside the organisation with a time-limited link
  • Invite colleagues and control what each of them can see and do
  • The whole interface in Swedish and English

What it looks like.

Illustrations of the real screens, with made-up data. The app handles sensitive data, so no screenshots are shown. The interface is drawn in Swedish, as it is used.

  1. 01

    The lab request form

The lab's paper request became a form: the donor, consent, the collector, which analyses and why. Required fields are marked, and each analysis shows which substances it covers.

  2. 02

    Several rapid tests at once

One visit can mean several tests. They are added one at a time, with “mark all negative” for the usual case, and everything is shown once more before it is registered — because afterwards it can't be changed.

  3. 03

    Booking a sample collection

Booking starts with the clinic: pick it on the map or in the list, fill in the person's details and which analyses to take.

  4. 04

    The team and its roles

The customer's administrator invites colleagues and sets their role right in the list. The role decides what each person sees — an orderer doesn't see results, a reviewer can't create tests.

Step by step

  1. 1Sign in with an email code, BankID or SITHS
  2. 2Create the lab request with barcode and details
  3. 3The sample goes to the lab
  4. 4The result arrives, and the orderer gets an email
  5. 5Download the PDF, or share it with a time-limited link
  6. 6Archive the request as handled

Under the hood

  • Every database query is limited to the signed-in user's organisation
  • Roles are checked on the server, not just in the menu
  • A rapid test's result becomes a PDF generated in the app
  • Every string in the interface exists in Swedish and English
